Christian County Release Records
A release entry marks the end of one booking at the Christian County Jail. It does not always mean the person walked into the community. Bond, recognizance, time served, dismissal, sentence completion, parole, and probation can lead to community release. A transfer to a Kentucky prison, another jail, federal custody, or immigration custody ends the local booking too. The BlueHorse past-inmate record should be read with its charges, holds, bonds, court history, and release date before drawing a conclusion.
The elected Christian County Jailer operates the main local custody system. The Restricted Custody Center is part of that system, while the Hopkinsville Police Department and Christian County Justice Center perform different arrest and court functions. State cases move into Kentucky Department of Corrections records. Federal and immigration transfers have separate federal channels. Keeping those roles apart prevents a local roster exit from being mistaken for final discharge.
| Recorded path | What it usually means | Best confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| Bond or recognizance | The court authorized release while the case continues | Past booking plus court file |
| Time served or sentence completion | The local term ended | Release record and judgment |
| Parole or probation | Custody ended, but supervision may continue | KOOL and District 2 |
| Transfer | Another agency may now hold the person | KOOL, BOP, ICE, or receiving jail |
| Dismissal | A court ended one charge or case | CourtNet or clerk record |
What Christian Release Records Show
Christian County's official jail gateway links to the BlueHorse Current and Past Inmates system. Its public past-booking view can identify a person and the booking that ended. The visible fields depend on jail configuration, so no field should be promised for every record. A release date is the key exit field, but the full booking context gives it meaning.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name and booking number | The person label and unique local booking |
| Booking and release dates | When that jail episode began and ended |
| Charges and arrest agency | The allegations tied to the booking and booking source |
| Holds and detainers | Another agency's claimed custody interest |
| Bond | Amount or bond information configured for display |
| Court history | Court, date, room, and hearing type where shown |
| Photograph and descriptors | Identity aids, not proof of guilt |
- Discharge
- The displayed term of corrections authority has ended.
- Time served
- Custody already served satisfies the ordered jail term.
- Detainer
- A request or notice that another agency may take custody.
- Expungement
- A court process that can remove eligible records from ordinary public access.
Request Christian County Release Records
A focused request goes to the agency that made and keeps the record. For jail-created booking and release material, begin with the Christian County Jail at 410 West Seventh Street, Hopkinsville, Kentucky 42240, or call (270) 887-4152 to confirm the custodian and delivery method. The county's open-records gateway is useful for county routing, but jail records should not be assumed to belong to the county clerk.
- Identify one booking with the full name, aliases, date of birth, booking number, and approximate admission date.
- Ask for admission and release times, release disposition, releasing authority, receiving agency, holds at exit, and the booking photograph.
- Request electronic copies and allow redaction of exempt material while asking for all separable public portions.
- If access is denied, ask for the cited statutory basis and use Kentucky Attorney General open-records guidance.
Kentucky's Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, governs access to nonexempt public records. Research did not establish a Christian County Jail fee schedule or fixed retention period for these records, so neither is promised here. Ask the custodian about cost before ordering and about older bookings if BlueHorse no longer displays them.
Christian Release and Court Records
The jail record answers when a booking ended. The court record answers what happened in the case. Christian County Circuit Court Clerk records can preserve bond orders, dismissals, pleas, sentences, and later orders after the person drops off the live jail list. Public case information is available through CourtNet's guest search, while courthouse access and clerk help provide a second route when an online result is incomplete.
Expungement changes public access to eligible Kentucky records, but it does not rewrite every independent source at once. The Kentucky Court of Justice explains the process, and Kentucky State Police supplies the certification used in many applications. Sealed, juvenile, and expunged material may be withheld or absent. A missing result is therefore not proof that no booking ever occurred.
Christian County court details show the official local clerk route.

Christian County Bond Release Timing
Bond posting and physical release are separate events. The jail's bond information says a bond may be posted at the Christian County Justice Center, 100 Justice Way, on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. After 4 p.m., only cash bonds may be posted at the jail side entrance. Valid photo identification is required. Listed court and jail channels control the transaction.
Posting does not establish the moment a person leaves. Staff may still need the court authorization, identity checks, hold review, account processing, and property return. Another agency's detainer can prevent a community release. Confirm the completed exit in the past-inmate record or directly with the jail instead of treating a receipt as a release timestamp.
The official bond page lists a ten percent cash-deposit option on eligible bonds, a nonrefundable ten-dollar court fee, and a jail fee equal to five percent of the bond amount, capped at one hundred dollars. Those are bond-posting costs, not a fee for obtaining a release record. The page also warns that card-based bond transactions can carry a separate service charge. Because bond form and eligibility come from the court order, callers should verify the accepted method before traveling to either location.
Find Christian County Released Inmates
Start with the system most likely to own the person's last custody status. BlueHorse is strongest for a Christian County Jail booking. KOOL is strongest for a Kentucky state sentence or supervision. CourtNet explains the case result. VINE supplies notification rather than a certified record. BOP and ICE cover distinct federal populations.
- Open the official Christian County Jail gateway, then select BlueHorse's Past Inmate tab. Use the Past 24 Hours control for a same-day scan or enter a name and date range.
- Open the plausible booking and record its booking number, release date, holds, and court details.
- Check KOOL if a state sentence, parole, probation, or state transfer is possible. Search with the least information needed.
- Review the Christian County court case for the order or disposition behind the exit.
- Use VINE for notice, or BOP and ICE when the booking points to federal custody.
- Request the source record if systems disagree or the booking is no longer online.
A person leaving the current roster proves only that the jail no longer displays that active booking.
The official jail inmate-listing page is the safe starting point for the local vendor system.

Christian Past Inmate Search
BlueHorse exposes separate current and past views. Its past form accepts state ID, permanent ID, last name, first name, beginning date, and end date. The Past 24 Hours button calls a distinct recent-exit function. A person result leads to record components that may include the photograph, descriptors, charges, holds, bond, court history, booking time, and release date.
Search spelling matters. Begin with a last name and then add a first name or date range. Distinguish similar people through birth date, middle name, booking number, physical description, and case details. Never combine records solely because two names match.
The Christian County BlueHorse interface displays the Current and Past choices.

Kentucky Search for Christian Releases
Kentucky Online Offender Lookup, known as KOOL, covers state prisoners and many people under Kentucky DOC supervision. It is not a full Christian County arrest archive. A short local booking that never involves DOC may be absent. For a state record, search by name or DOC number, open each plausible result, and read supervision status, current location, projected release information, and supervision dates together.
| KOOL search field | Useful purpose |
|---|---|
| DOC or PID number | Targets one state record |
| Name and alias | Finds likely identity matches |
| Supervision status | Separates custody, parole, probation, discharge, or absconder labels |
| Location and county | Shows institution or supervision placement |
| Projected release range | Finds future dates, not guaranteed exit times |
| Conviction fields | Helps match the Christian County case |
DOC says data is improved daily and warns that recent information may not be finalized for 120 days. “Parole” indicates community supervision after prison custody. “Discharged” is stronger evidence that the shown DOC term ended. “Absconder” means alleged loss of contact with supervision, not a fresh local jail booking.
Christian County Post-Release Supervision
Kentucky DOC Division of Probation and Parole District 2 handles Christian County field supervision from its Hopkinsville office. Parole follows prison release under Parole Board authority. Probation is a court-ordered community sentence. Mandatory reentry supervision is another state status. Each can leave a person outside jail while DOC authority continues.
KOOL provides the public status layer. District 2 provides the local supervision office. Parole Board schedules and written decisions add the decision trail for parole matters. A final discharge ends the displayed supervision term, while an absconder label can signal alleged noncompliance and possible warrant action. The Christian County parole and probation page explains these routes in detail.
Christian County Release Notifications
Kentucky VINE covers participating county jails, state prisons, mental-health facilities, and juvenile detention. It can send notice of events such as release, transfer, escape, and some parole activity. Search the Kentucky portal for one person, verify the agency and identifiers, then register a phone or email channel. A four-digit PIN is used for phone confirmation.
VINE is a notice service, not the release record itself. An alert may arrive before or after another public screen updates. The Kentucky Attorney General says release calls recur every thirty minutes for twenty-four hours or until the PIN confirms receipt. State institutions aim to provide advance release notice, but urgent and unexpected events can narrow that period. Always verify an alert with the responsible jail or DOC source.
Why Christian Court Orders Matter
A jail release date shows an exit. It does not state the full legal outcome. Bond conditions may keep a case open. A dismissal may apply to one charge but not another. A sentence may lead directly to DOC transfer. CourtNet and the Christian County clerk preserve the orders that separate these events.
Use the case number from the booking when available. Compare the court date and charge description, then read the disposition and later orders. If online access is thin, request the court record. The jail should answer custody questions; the clerk should answer what the court ordered.
Public courthouse access is not identical to the paid CourtNet account service. Kentucky's courts provide courthouse terminals and clerk assistance for public case material, while CourtNet's guest path can help locate a case remotely. A search result should be matched by name, birth information when shown, county, charge, and case number. The docket may reveal that one count was dismissed while another produced the custody order, which is why a single status label should not be read apart from the case history.
Federal Christian County Custody Paths
A federal defendant may leave the local jail for United States Marshals Service or Bureau of Prisons custody. The USMS has no general public released-prisoner name search. BOP's locator covers federal inmates from 1982 onward and may show “Released,” a date, or “Not in BOP custody.” That federal result does not prove how every Christian County booking ended.
The BOP Inmate Locator is the official federal search.

An immigration detainer is also not a community release. ICE's locator searches by A-number and country of birth or by biographical data. Some people are omitted, including minors and certain recently booked cases. Use the ERO field-office channel when the locator does not resolve a documented transfer.
Where Christian Release Status Appears
Each system answers a different question. Check the source that matches the custody path, then use a second source for context.
| Situation | Primary source | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Still in county jail | BlueHorse Current | An active local booking is displayed |
| Released from county booking | BlueHorse Past | The local booking has an exit date |
| State prison or supervision | KOOL | DOC location, status, and dates |
| Court outcome | CourtNet or clerk | Bond, dismissal, conviction, or sentence order |
| Federal custody or release | BOP Locator | Federal-only status |
| Immigration detention | ICE locator or ERO | ICE custody, not community release |
Christian County Release Facilities
The facility map includes physical custody sites and the official receiving systems needed to follow a transfer. The Christian County Jail is the primary local jail. Its Restricted Custody Center shares jail administration. Hopkinsville Police temporary holding ordinarily leads to jail booking or court-authorized release, and the Justice Center records bond and disposition rather than holding people long term.
- Christian County Jail: local current and past booking records.
- Christian County Jail Restricted Custody Center: jail records plus KOOL when a state sentence applies.
- Hopkinsville Police Department: incident and arrest records before jail admission.
- Christian County Justice Center: bond, docket, and disposition records.
- Kentucky Department of Corrections: statewide prison, parole, probation, and discharge records.
- Federal Bureau of Prisons: nationwide federal custody and released status.
- ICE detention network: immigration detention and transfer follow-up.
No Kentucky adult prison, BOP institution, or established ICE detention contract was identified within Christian County in the research sweep. Those pages describe receiving systems, not local jail buildings.
Release logistics also differ by site. The Justice Center can authorize or accept a bond during its stated window, but jail staff complete the physical exit. Police records document the arrest stage, not the later jail release. Restricted custody may allow approved movement without ending custody. State, federal, and immigration systems take over only when a transfer occurs. Recording the last agency known to hold the person makes each follow-up search far more reliable. Preserve the booking number, date checked, and exact status wording before contacting the responsible records office for a booking-specific confirmation from the source agency itself promptly.
